A series of courses to help with canning foods safely at home. “Canning College: Preserving Foods Safely,” is a course designed to teach the in’s-and-outs’ of home canning through hands-on demonstrations. Whether you are an experienced canner who has preserved food for years or a novice wanting to learn more about home canning, these courses are for you. Each participant will take home items that they canned themselves.
Three sessions: Pressure canning, Jams/Jellies, and Soups/Salsa.
**Before you begin canning, bring the lid of your pressure canner to the Extension office to have the gauge tested. This is a free service.**
